From Ho Chi Minh: Cu Chi tunnels & Mekong full day
1 day tour - Visit Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong river.
Located over 50km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi tunnel is now considered a heroic district for its role in the anti-American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its’ Original tunnel system of 250km and is a popular spot for Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
After having lunch, head to the Mekong Delta - A must-visit destination in Southern Vietnam. With its nature reserves, ancient traditions, and tropical islands, the Mekong Delta offers so much to see and do that you could spend weeks road-tripping around.
CU CHI TUNNELS & MEKONG DELTA ONE DAY TOUR
From approx 7.00 AM - 7.30 AM: Our tour guide will contact you before the tour and meet you up at the hotel lobby for pick up. Heading to Cu Chi Tunnel.
Approx 9.00 AM: On the way to the tunnel, stop by and have a rest at the handicraft workshop. Guests can buy souvenirs (optional and at your own expense). Continue our journey to the Cu Chi Tunnel.
From approx 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM: Arrival the Cu Chi Tunnel, visitors will learn more about the history and the hardships this land experienced during the war and explore the system of tunnels, including living quarters and military areas.
- Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area.
- Visit booby traps used during wartime
- Crawl through one of the tunnels
- Taste the typical dish "Tapioca" and drink Pandan leaves tea.
- Try some rifle shooting (optional with a surcharge).
Approx 12.30 PM - 1.00 PM: Have lunch at a local restaurant and take a short break before we head to Mekong Delta
From approx 2.30 AM to 5.30 PM: Following your arrival in My Tho:
- Visit the local honey bee farm & coconut candies factory.
- Enjoy fresh fruits (seasonal) in the orchard garden while listening to the Southern traditional music.
- Sitting on a hand-rowing boat, weaving into the shady and windy canal
- Witness the lifestyle of the locals and meet friendly Vietnamese people.
Back to Ho Chi Minh city and end of the tour at around 7-7:30pm.
